New Submission Guidelines

Short stories should only be submitted if they adhere to the following rules:
1. They are your own work and do not contain characters or settings from other people's work.
2. They have not been published elsewhere in any format.
3. That it has not been submitted simultaneously to other publications.
4. The subject matter falls into the remit of the publication.

If you meet the above criteria your short story must be sent with "Submission" in the subject line of an e-mail, if it does not it will be automatically filtered out. The short story should be sent as an attachment either .doc or .rtf or it will be deleted. The file must then pass a virus scan or it will be deleted.
In the body of your e-mail you should include the title of the story, the number of words and if you wish a brief note about yourself.
The e-mail should be sent to submissions@forgotten-worlds.co.uk

We request that you also give serious consideration to purchasing at least one copy of our magazine. This will not influence our decision to accept or decline your submission, but it will give you a warm feeling of satisfaction knowing that you are helping to support and preserve a hard copy magazine and thus a market for authors and their work.

If selected payment will be one half penny sterling per word plus one contributor copy, paid upon publication.

Note: We will consider serials for publication. If you wish to submit such a work please attach only what you would expect to be the first installment, but tell us in the body of the e-mail the full length of your work.
